3.5 Stars - These Dare romances are always an easy read with a little bit of everything. If you're looking for simple romantic suspense with a steamy scene or two, this is perfect. Now, I can't say this one was particularly unique or memorable from some of Phillips' other stories. Hadley is on the run with her teenage sister Dani who is "an older thirteen". I never got how the younger sister was supposedly wise beyond her years and mature but that's a side point. Hadley's messy past with Zach Dare is front and center though. They were teens in love before she was forced into WITSEC. I think the reasoning behind their separation was pretty solid even if a tad unrealistic why she never reached out at all. Zach's family with their impossible to remember branches and couple return if you're into the never ending series thing. If not, they're side characters and this can be read as a standalone with minor spoilers for the rest of the books.
