We are winding down our resume tip post series but we still have some good ones left to share! We're glad to have you back for another quick and easy resume writing lesson.
Resume Tip #56 - Think Like a Coworker
Trying to come up with wording for your job descriptions? Think like a coworker or a teammate! By that we mean, remember what you contribute on a daily basis!
Do you run reports for someone or maybe analyze them? Do you help with opening or closing duties? Maybe you cover for someone when they are on PTO or assist management with special projects? All those things belong on your resume!
And keep in mind, you are also applying to be a coworker in addition to an individual job position. Likely, even if your future role is specialized or compartmentalized, some of your tasks will affect your coworkers'. So you want to appear to be the most open, reliable, and helpful coworker you can be!
As always, remember your local library is a great place to work on your job search and possibly get assistance!
We'll be returning in September with another helpful hint.
