September is Library Card Sign Up Month! It is also FINE FREE MONTH! Currently, the only items that you receive overdue fines for are DVDs. But life happens! So, if you come in during this month and have library overdue fines from ANY prior dates, you can request that they be forgiven and your card wiped clean to start using. Please note that the only fees not waived are other service fees that you owe the library and/or the replacement cost of items.

Back in April, in Celebration of National Library Week, we started a new passive drop-in program: A Community Puzzle. Puzzles are great for lowering stress, improving memory, and giving a fantastic brain workout. A special table at the main location is set up with a puzzle, and everyone is encouraged to stop for a few minutes and complete a few pieces if they have time. Our first puzzle was completed yesterday and took about 4 months. We are excited to start a new one and see

The Brooke County Public Libraries worked with multiple entities over the years in order to make sure that Dolly Parton Imagination Library was brought back to Brooke County. A two-part program where the adults could stay to listen to a presentation about John Adams, given by the ADBC Museum Curator.
