4.5 Stars - I think it's a return to form here for the Gray Man series, even if it was just shy of perfect for me. The previous Sierra Six left a lot to be desired with the flashback plots and lacking side material. But Burner picks up with the fantastic pace and excitement Relentless before it had. Court is reunited with some old friends and foes again, and the action is a bit slower paced but almost in a savory way! It's always better when his personality can come through with people he knows and that know him. Of course there are also some new people to assist him and to rescue, alway keeping things fresh. I was so excited for Zoya to return, even if I didn't agree with her "circumstances". I thought she deserved better. I was not buying the explanation for her attitude getting tied into being Russian in the days of the Ukraine conflict. I loved the Italy and Switzerland settings for part of the story and even the long build up to the big action sequence midway. This whole story pretty much had me on the edge of my seat, and I didn't want it to end.
