3 Stars - A surprisingly easy listen and great for anyone looking to dive into classics or maybe even include the kiddos. There are many audio versions floating around of this story collection. But I would highly recommend this one. The narrator's performance was top notch, and the way it was broken down into 45 minute stories and 2 minute songs and poems made for perfect pacing. I was surprised to see how many details of Kipling's stories had made it into the Disney movie, and I think this could be a fun classic combo for families. The stories are dark at times but not too scary or gruesome, and there's more dialouge than expected. Mowgli and his animal friends adventures' hardly have a dull moment. And it's easy to find at least one or two characters or lessons to enjoy.
