WV ONEBox's Installed at Brooke County Libraries

BCPL has partnered with the WV Drug Intervention Institute (WVDII) and has installed a ONEbox at both locations to help further provide support to patrons who visit the libraries of Brooke County who may need rapid help to reverse an overdose (which can occur for various reasons).

Both locations have them placed by our AED Machines.

Main Location: Meeting Room hallway (a 2nd box is located at the circulation desk)

WV DII offers Naloxone training for anyone who would like to be prepared to help in the event of an opioid overdose. The training includes:

• How & when to properly use Naloxone

• A certificate of completion

• A dose of Naloxone for use in an overdose situation

• Info on how to call and anonymously report usage (for WV, call WV Poison Center: 1-800-222-1222).
