Looking for a delicious summer salad? We've got the perfect dinner dish to share this month then!

June's dinner and a book idea is Blue Crab Shrimp Salad from Fern Michaels' Fear Thy Neighbor.

Ready to get started?


1 Head Butter Lettuce or Lettuce of Choice

1 English Cucumber, peeled and sliced

1 Beefsteak Tomato, cut in quarters

2 Pounds of Cooked Shrimp, chilled

3 Pounds of Cooked Blue Crab meat, chilled

1/4 Cup of Lime Juice

1/4 Cup of Honey

3 Tbsp of Olive Oil

1 Tsp of Dry Mustard

Salt and Pepper, for taste in dressing


1 Chop lettuce and add to a large salad or mixing bowl.

2 Add cucumber, tomato, shrimp, and crab meat to lettuce.

3. In small separate bowl, combine lime juice, honey, olive oil, and mustard together with salt and pepper.

4. Add dressing to salad or serve on the side.

Voila! A fun summer salad with fresh ingredients, perfect for a hot day's dinner.
