3 Stars - This adorable rom-com was a fun read but a tad too drawn out to be excellent. Bailey's always able to write couples that are quirky and have chemistry, no lack of that here. But it was a little hard to fully engage with this plot. Chloe is lost, spoiled, and immature. While I can totally love Sig's knight in shining armor streak and instant attraction, it was hard to figure out why she was affecting him so strongly. As is sometimes the case, her hero is better than the heroine. Sig was instantly likable in my opinion, very down to earth and yet confident. Now the plot is centered on their impending step-sibling hood but they were just too old for this trope. If they'd been in their late teens/college, the setbacks would be reasonable. But these are two fully grown people who have a terrible relationship with their parents. Read it for the cute scenes or the steamy scenes, whatever floats your boat. But it may drag more than a little.
