Do you use Libby, Kanopy, ABC Mouse, or access our OPAC?

As part of OverDrive's ongoing commitment to providing secure access to our library's digital resources, OverDrive will soon require users to enter a PIN or password in addition to a library card.

Traditionally, PIN #s were also used for the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC - aka Card Catalog online) & ABC Mouse Access.

Now, if you use our Libby and Kanopy Access, you will need to have a PIN after the middle of next month (October 2026).

If you have an active PIN, we will NOT change it!

So if you go on one day and enter a PIN that does not work, chances are it is not the correct one. Just call us at 304-737-1551, and we can update it for you.

We are now going through the process of adding PIN #s to the patrons who do not have an active PIN.

So if a PIN # is not already entered, it will be added to patron records (last 4 digits of their card).

When we set up a PIN # for you onsite, it will traditionally be 4 digits. But if you set up a card PIN via that link above, it will ask you for 6 digits.

When we add new patrons going forward, all cards will default to having the last 4 digits of their library card entered.

A PIN # can be changed at the patron's request at any time. Please know we cannot remind you what PIN # is active on your card, as the system security protects it. All we can do is wipe the old one and add a new one.
