CALLING ALL WRITERS!

WPWVC-ACRL Programming Committee invites you to attend their first-ever Shut Up and Write event, which will take place on Tuesday, November 11 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.

Registration is required, but is open to chapter members and non-members alike!

Held on Zoom, these structured yet low-pressure sessions offer a dedicated time slot on your calendar to focus on any writing project—whether it's a research paper, report, grant proposal, or blog post. You’ll be in good company, working alongside a cohort of like-minded colleagues who also value productivity and peer support. Each session includes:

  • A brief check-in and goal setting (5–10 minutes)

  • Focused, quiet writing time (45–50 minutes)

  • Optional wrap-up and progress share (5 minutes)

No feedback, no pressure—just time to write.

Shut Up and Write is your chance to prioritize writing in a supportive and accountable environment.

Please complete this online form to register and you will receive the sign-in details via email.

Please reach out to their event host (Rocco Cremonese - rocco.cremonese@sru.edu) or their Programming Committee Chairperson (Carrie Donovan - CDONOVAN@pitt.edu) if you have questions.
