Time Capsule Letter Drive

The Brooke County Public Library and the National ADBC Museum & Research Center will be home to a Brooke County 250th-themed Time Capsule, courtesy of the Brooke County Commission. In celebration of the digital age, we will be burying a flash drive filled with eLetters on any topic that our patrons want to share. 

A letter to a loved one, a letter of a funny family story, a history of a veteran in your family, a list of well wishes for a friend, etc. 

The capsule will be dug up in 25 years and the digital files released on both the library and museum’s webpages. 

• Physical Letters that will be digitized(TURN IN BY 5PM ON 10/23/2026)

• An email with the letter in the body of the email OR with a file already attached (SEND IN BY 9AM ON 11/7/2026)
