Winter Advisory Update for Libraries on 1/26/26

  • Jan 23
  • 1 min read

Due to the unknown and potentially severe impacts this weekend's winter storm will bring, we are prepping for 1/26/26 for the safety of our most valued resource (our staff), and our patrons.

If the Brooke County Schools have a 2-hour delay, our libraries will operate on a 2-hour delay. If the Brooke County Schools Close, we will also close.

Programs scheduled for this day typically already follow the school’s delay/closing announcements. Meetings that were scheduled have already canceled & your entity should have already informed you.

For the safety of all, the BCPL Board of Trustees has also moved its scheduled Library Board meeting from 1/26/26 to 2/2/26.
