WVLA Fall Conference - Complete!

If you were wondering where our Director was last week, she was down state in South Charleston attending the WV Library Association Fall Conference!
Many ideas were swapped and gained, and she is ready to come back this week and further cement the connections that she made while attending with both vendors and attendees alike.
We also want to congratulate her as she has been elected as VP1. This means that for the 2025-2026 Dec-Nov FY of WVLA, she will help the President with duties, and for the 2026-2027 FY, she will herself become President! This three-year commitment cements the support that our libraries have for the association and the support it gives our Director.
We are excited, as someone from the Northern Panhandle has not been represented in this capacity since the late Dottie Thomas (2000-2001), who was the Director for the Ohio County Public Library.
This is her 11th Fall Conference (should have been 12th due to COVID) and each year she notes that: "I feel reinvigorated and ready to handle the next year!"
WVLA is also going to be rolling out a new website come December which will be perfect for members and non-members alike. A photo of our two libraries will hopefully be represented on the front landing site.
