2026 PBS Kids Writers Contest

WVPB is excited to share that West Virginia Public Broadcasting’s 2026 PBS Kids Writers Contest is now open for K–5 students! Children are invited to write and illustrate their own original stories. Students can submit themselves or teachers are welcome to send in as a class set.

Submissions are open through March 31, 2026, and may be mailed to WVPB or emailed to education@wvpublic.org. We also offer free resources, including activity and brainstorming packets, to help guide young writers through the process.
