BCPL May 2026 Inside the Library

Welcome back to another post exploring our libraries! We have all kinds of little spots and corners you may have never noticed, so we can't wait to share them with you.

This May's spotlight is on a small section (very small) but no less fun. The "Last Chance" display shelf gives books a second life you might say!

You may not know this, but not all library books can stay forever, sadly. All libraries have a process usually called "weeding" where we start deleting some books to make room for new books. Often the books that are weeded out to make room are titles that haven't circulated or been checked out for a long time. Some may never have been checked out!

So stop by Follansbee's Last Chance display and possibly save a book from our collection! It's located in the fiction section, across from the vault. The shelf always includes some popular authors and even some unique lesser known ones. You might find something intriguing and a new series to enjoy or rediscover an old favorite.
