BCPL May A Book & a Recipe 3

Who doesn't love a great read and a great meal, right? We're back again with our May 2025 Dinner and a Book idea. This time we're making a super simple recipe Sausage and Peppers from Adriana Trigiani's Kiss Carlo.
Let's get cooking!
Ingredients-
Serves 8
3 pounds of Italian sausage, mild or hot, cut into large 3-4 inch chunks
8 green peppers, sliced into wide strips
2 large onions, sliced
Salt and black pepper to taste (fresh ground preferred)
Instructions-
1. Using a bit of water and just the fat from the sausage, cook sausage in a skillet.
2. Just before it begins to brown, add the vegetables and season with the salt and pepper.
3. Serve with a good, hearty bread and a salad.
