Library Update

We will post on our website as to the status of us opening tomorrow and/or Saturday.


10th Street has limited our back entrance accessibility and we had canceled all library programs for tomorrow 4/5 already.


We ask for you to not place donations in our drop boxes as they need to be clear for any returned materials and we worry about spillage of containers on to the materials inside which would damage them.

With the current State of Emergency continuing in Brooke County, Brooke County EMA and the City of Wellsburg are requesting that all requests for basement pumping and other flood related calls be placed to 304-975-0261. All other EMERGENCY calls should still be placed through 911 center. -From Brooke County EMS/EMA

Food being surved free for those affected tomorrow 4/5 from 3 to 6pm at their location.

Branch Closed Today 1/28/26

The Follansbee Library is closed today, 1/28/26. Due to the heavy snow removal, the City has been delayed and has not been able to dig us out yet. We also have community members parked in our parking

Due to the severity of backroads, we have many staff who are still digging themselves out. For the safety of them and our patrons we are closing. We will have no overdue fines for these two days so p
